The first official meeting night for the year is on the 19th January – and it is a social get-together at Mike and Liz's place, 15 Little Orchard Way. It will be drinks and nibbles, and it is appropriate that it should be a partner’s night as well. So, bring your favourite tipple, something to nibble on, and your partner, and let’s just have a pleasant evening chatting and socialising. |

Wheels at Wanaka is happening again this year, and Wanaka Rotary have agreed to assist with traffic direction and car parking. The former will be done in association with Fulton Hogan while Rotary alone handle parling in the main car park. Its Easter, so we are looking for early commitment to ensure we have enough people. A roster for sign-up will be going out imminently. Those who volunteer will be entitled to visit the show, Friday is heavy earthmoving day, the Saturday and Sunday are a mixture of events and chance to look at veteran and vintage cars, and possibly meet their original owners ! Some of the shifts start early unfortunately, and some are somewhat open ended which will be explained in the email requesting your support. Rotary get financial gain from this event, and your support would be very much appreciated.

https://www.ezifish.com/ Save the date for a weekend in Moeraki. Loose plan at the moment is: - Head up Friday evening and to find a spot / brewery in Omarau for a casual dinner. - Saturday morning, those that want - go fish, those that dont - alternative options???? - Saturday evening dinner at Fleurs or the Moeraki Pub - Sunday drive back to wanaka and stop for a scenic fish inspired BBQ |

The Upper Clutha Winter Feed Competition is being organised for farmers in the Upper Clutha area as a feed competition. The participating farmers will be putting forward their crops for assessment in advance of the event, and will attend for results of judging at the Wanaka Rugby Club rooms on June 11th. The farming businesses and local Wanaka business in the region are sponsoring prizes and auction items, and Tarras school are organising the catering. The proceeds will be donated to the rescue helicopter service. Rotarians will be wanted for the day for preparation and at the event, more details to come. Attendees will be farmers, representatatives of agricultural supply sponsors and participating volunteers at this stage. Numbers are still to be finally determined to see if more attendees can be invited - entry fees will apply if so to cover costs. |
